Due to the accelerated electrification of homes and residential buildings, simultaneous electricity consumption is increasing significantly. More and more residential complexes and homeowners’ associations (VvEs) are making their properties more sustainable and switching to fully electric solutions. At the same time, the net metering scheme will be abolished as of January 1, 2027, and grid congestion is putting pressure on available grid capacity. As a result, the maximum import and export limits of grid connections are reached more quickly, creating constraints for further sustainability measures or expansion.

This ensures that each connection remains within its contracted capacity limits while making optimal use of available energy. The system continuously optimizes for maximum self-consumption, low energy costs, and a reliable electricity supply for residents.

Thanks to its modular design, the system can be applied per individual home or collectively within a building. In combination with a central Embion EMS at the main connection, shared installations are managed integrally, while the entire building remains within contractual capacity agreements. This allows the system to grow alongside the ongoing electrification of the residential environment and remain future-proof.
